For these playful earrings, you’ll need:
- Two matching wiggle links (learn how to make them here)
- Two ear wires (buy them or make your own)
- Two small briolette beads.
- Two five-inch lengths of 24-gauge dead soft wire
- Round nosed pliers
- Flat nosed pliers
- Flush cutters
Thread one of the wires through one of the beads.
Positioning the bead about 1/3 of the way from one end of the wire, press both wire tails tightly up the sides of the bead, bringing the two tails together at the top of the teardrop.
Cut t he short tail to about 1/4 inch in length.
Using the flat nosed pliers, grip the longer wire tail at the point where it meets the top of the shorter wire tail. Bend the long wire outward at a 90 degree angle , with the bent portion lying parallel to the briolette’s drill hole.
Using the round nosed pliers, form a loop in the long wire, positioning the loop so that it sits at the top of the short wire, centered neatly above the tip of the briolette.
Thread the wire through one of the wiggle link’s linking loops, popping the wiggle loop into place inside the loop you have just formed.
Grip the loop you have just formed with your flat nosed pliers, and coil the long wire’s tail around both of the wires at the top of the briolette, carefully forming a coil all the way from the tops of these wires to the top of the briolette.
Trim and tuck the wire so that no sharp ends are exposed. Link the other end of the wiggle link to the ear wire, and repeat for the other earring.
